Tours in Malta typically range from €20 to €100 per person, depending on the type and length of the tour.

Walking tours or city sightseeing tours are usually on the lower end, around €20-€40. On the other hand, boat tours, guided excursions to Gozo or Comino, and specialty experiences like wine tastings or diving can cost €50 or more.

Whether you’re in the mood for a romantic sunset cruise or a full-day adventure, they’ve got you covered with tours around Comino, the Blue Lagoon, Malta, and Gozo.

Their most popular option is their 2-hour Malta private boat trip charter. You’ll visit caves like Popeye’s and Lovers’ Cave, anchor at the Crystal Lagoon for a swim or snorkel, and circle Pigeon Island and Cominotto before stopping at the Blue Lagoon.

The best part is that you can customize your tour to fit what you want to do. Plus, if you book a half-day or full-day tour at least two weeks in advance, you can snag their Early Bird Offer and save €20!

Unfortunately, we did hear that some of the boats were not as clean as expected.

Pros

  • Comino, the Blue Lagoon, Malta, and Gozo tours
  • Known for their 2-hour Malta private boat trip charter

The most amazing experience we had in Malta!!!

“The most amazing experience we had in Malta!!! Truly memorable! Justin, our skipper, was so kind and thoughtful and really elevated our experience. We did the 3 hour trip which was more than enough as we saw literally everything, swam at crystal waters and really explored the Comino island and magical famous beaches. Well worth the price and definitely a MUST DO in Malta. Especially in the summer months beaches like blue lagoon get soooo crowded so having your own private boat is 100% the optimal choice! Plus I want to mention that booking was super easy and the people in the team gave us so many information about Malta which we really appreciated. 10/10”

Took us to the best spots by the caves and the lagoons

“What can I say- this was a once in a lifetime experience. The company was SO informative, so helpful, clear with instructions, easy to book, easy to find, right on time. We had Justin the skipper who was absolutely incredible, very helpful, great with the kids and we felt incredibly safe, he told us all about the history, took us to the best spots by the caves and the lagoons. The boat was very luxurious, clean and well looked after. The kids are already asking when we can go back. This is something not to be missed or forgotten ❤️❤️❤️”

Malta Themed Tours has over 19 years of guiding experience under their belt, and these folks really know how to bring Malta’s history to life. They even pioneered dramatized Corsair Tours back in 2018—how cool is that?

Their most popular tour—Sinful Secrets of Valletta, Blood, Booty, and Courtesans—is like stepping into a juicy historical novel. For just €15/person, you’ll be whisked through Valletta’s streets to uncover tales of daring risk-takers and jaw-dropping scandals.

And get this—it’s led by a licensed guide decked out in a full-on Corsair costume.

We like that they’re not just hyped up by visitors—they’ve got street cred, too. They’ve been featured in big-name outlets like Malta Daily, Guide Me Malta, and Times Malta.

One thing to note: these tours are super popular, so book early to avoid missing out.

Colour My Travel is the OG when it comes to walking tours. They were the first to bring this concept to the island, specializing in Valletta, Mdina, and the Three Cities.

Their Valletta Food Tour is well-known in Malta—an absolute must for foodies; you can sample treats like traditional pastizzi and other local snacks. If your goal is to eat your way through Valletta (no judgment here), this tour delivers big time.

On a budget? No problem! Their free walking tour is a wallet-friendly option that’s all about exploration without the price tag—just make sure to tip your guide if they impress.

For something spookier, they also offer themed ghost tours in Valletta, Mdina, and Birgu.

That said, there have been some whispers about certain guides being less engaging.

Pros

  • Valletta, Mdina, and the Three Cities
  • Valletta Food Tour
  • Free walking tour
  • Offers themed ghost tours

Best Tours Malta is a fantastic option for diving deep into the heart of Maltese culture, thanks to the passionate vision of its founder, Christian Galea. With 15 years of tour-guiding experience, he has turned what started as a job into a labor of love.

One of their top experiences is the Mdina and Rabat Insider’s Tour. This isn’t your cookie-cutter stroll—it’s led by a true local who knows these historic towns like the back of their hand.

For foodies, especially those who are vegan or curious about plant-based cuisine, the Vegan Valletta Food Tour is a unique standout. This takes you to several spots where you can taste traditional Maltese dishes—yum!

As a bonus, every tour starts near major bus routes or public transportation hubs, so getting to the meeting point is super convenient.

On the other hand, some customers told us about the occasional booking mishap.

Pros

  • Over 15 years of tour-guiding experience
  • Mdina and Rabat Insider’s Tour
  • Vegan Valletta Food Tour
  • Near major bus routes and transportation hubs

Cons

  • Some booking mishaps

Actually the BEST tour!

Malta Tour is your go-to for exploring Malta and Gozo in style, with nearly 30 years of combined experience crafting adventures.

One of their showstoppers is the Hera Round Malta & Comino Blue Lagoon Cruise. It’s a 360-degree journey; from the dramatic white cliffs at St. Thomas Bay to Marsaxlokk Fishing Village, every stop is Insta-worthy.

If island-hopping is more your vibe, the Gozo Full Day Tour is a fantastic pick. After a ferry ride to Gozo, you’ll dive straight into legend and history at the Calypso Cave and the ancient Ggantija Temples.

One small caveat: some guides might not be super fluent in English. While this might make the experience a bit less polished, the sheer variety and quality of the tours still make Malta Tour a great choice.

Pros

  • Over 25 years of experience
  • Hera Round Malta & Comino Blue Lagoon Cruise
  • Gozo Full Day Tour

Cons

  • Some guides might not be super fluent in English
